Malabsorption Fructose malabsorption simply means the person has a problem absorbing that sugar through the intestinal wall. So the sugar stays with the rest of fibre and goes down the intestinal tract, where it can create several problems like glassiness gassiness and diarrhoea. Since fructose is half of the sucrose molecule (sugar from cane, beets etc), I assume those people would have problems with sucrose as well.
The sugar content is declared on the label, since the capsules have the least amount of sugar, that should be the first choicethey may be appropriate. As always, we recommend that your customer seeks medical advice before proceeding, they are welcome to take a copy of all our product labels to their GP.
