Is it safe to take Juice Plus+ during pregnancy?

We cannot make any company representations as to what a pregnant or breast-feeding mother can expect from being on Juice Plus+^®. Using the word safe to describe any product should be avoided, because every individual is unique. Just like a peanut is 'safe' for one person, it can cause a near-death experience for another. Making any representation that a woman might be fully covered by Juice Plus+^® would be a serious health claim, which we do not make for our products.

Our products do not have any warnings or conditions for pregnancy. For example, our Essentials Trio (Juice Plus+ Fruit + Vegetable + Berry Blends) are listed in the ARTG, AUST L 433994, respectfully and these listings do not include any warnings to pregnant individuals. Additionally, our Complete (which is not listed on the ARTG) also does not have any warnings for pregnancy or breastfeeding. 

However, it is best to consult with your healthcare professional as to whether the product is suitable as with any medication you may require during your pregnancy – particularly if you are already taking a pregnancy multivitamin.

The Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code (No.2) July 2019 states that, as a general requirement for the advertising of therapeutic goods:
Advertising for therapeutic goods must: not contain any claim, statement, implication or representation that the therapeutic goods are safe or that their use cannot cause harm, or that they have no side-effects.

Juice Plus+^® is one part of a healthy life style. It is a support system for general well-being, but you still have to eat well, exercise, and practice stress-relieving activities to complete the picture.

It is because of this that we cannot make any claims, and will not make claims that Juice Plus+^® cures, prevents or mitigates any disease or condition.

Taking the recommended quantity of Juice Plus+^® with doctor prescribed pre-natal vitamins should not result in an unhealthy excess of any one vitamin, mineral or phytochemical. However, we greatly encourage customers to discuss their circumstances with their doctor.
