All proteins are made up of amino acids that are chemically bonded to each other to form long chains. The uniqueness of a specific protein is determined by the sequence of amino acids in the chain. The protein in Juice Plus Complete comes from soy. The soy protein has a unique combination of amino acids that are of course bonded together. The protein analysis on the Complete label describes the quantity of individual amino acids that make up the protein. The amino acids in Complete are bound together and are not free. Free amino acids can be chemically synthesised from various sources including petroleum products. The amino acid phenylalanine when in isolated form is an artificial sweetener called NutraSweet. Please assure your customer that while the amino acids phenylalanine and tyrosine do exist in Complete, they are a natural part of the unique soy protein and in no way resemble isolated amino acids.
