How does Juice Plus+ test for Gluten?
All the ingredients used to produce Juice Plus+ products are free from Gluten naturally. There is no wheat, barley or oats in Juice Plus+ products. For a full list of ingredients, please see our product labels here.
Our manufacturers have confirmed that the test for Gluten is performed annually. Gluten testing is not in the FPS or current licenses so only annual testing is performed.
The manufacturers use Ridascreen® Gliadian ELISA, which is an R5 test. The Ridascreen® Gliadin is:
Codex Alimentarius Method (Type I).
Approved by the AOAC Performance Tested Methods SM Program and was assigned PTM Certification No. 120601 by the AOAC Research Institute. The in-house validation data was confirmed by an independent lab. The sandwich ELISA is applicable for the detection of traces of gliadin in wheat, buckwheat, rice, corn, oats, syrup, and sausage.
